Mission Partners

Supporting the Lord’s work beyond the parish is a foundational principle of St. John’s.  This commitment is reflected in prayer, time and financial giving.

The church covenants to give 10% of our annual income to support particular ministries. These are described below. During the year, additional gifts have been given to support the work of The Children’s Society, Farm Crisis Network and the relief work in Haiti.

Belarus 2011.

On Monday 8th August, a team of 9 people from St Johns and Oaks in Skelmersdale are going on our annual mission trip to Belarus.

The team are:

1) refurbishing outside play areas at Shelter 46, the special school for disabled children

2)  helping members of Pastor Sergei's team run a summer camp for children in the orphanage

3) Leaving funds for the ongoing outreach work of the church in providing regular fruit deliveries to the orphanages and children's hospital and food aid packages to the least well off disabled families in the city of Borisov.

We would like to thank everyone in the church who has supported this work in 2011.

Please remember us in your prayers this week, for the success of the project, and the fellowship of the group.
