In need of help...

Pastoral care is at the heart of every Christian community.  In addition to the care provided by housegroups, clergy and the pastoral team, we are able to offer a range of support for times when you may find yourself in need of specific or general support and guidance.

Visiting

Visiting There may be times when you would like someone to visit, for no particular reason rather than having someone to see. Do call; we would be very happy to call in and see you.  Nothing is required of you; we value you just as you are.

Please contact Jeannie Holman (Pastoral Co-ordinator) by email or telephone 01704 897852 or a member of the clergy.

Hospital Visiting

Hospital Visiting If you or someone you know finds themselves in hospital then do make contact and we will pleased to visit them.

Please contact Jeannie Holman (Pastoral Co-ordinator) by email or telephone 01704 897852.

Bereavement Care

Bereavement When someone in the Parish dies, members of the bereaved family are offered a visit from a member of the Bereavement team. If requested they will come alongside for a short while and offer support and understanding.

For more information, please contact Margaret Bailey by email via the Church Office or telephone 01704 897852.

Debt

Debt If you or someone you know are experiencing problems with debt or budgeting, please contact West Lancashire Debt Advice on 01695 573348 or visit their website www.westlancashiredebtadvice.org.uk. This is a free, face to face debt advice service run by trained volunteers from local churches, based in Ormskirk. They run several sessions during the week and will offer confidential advice and support.

Home Communion

Home Communion Every month, members of the Home Communion team take communion to all the residential and nursing homes in Burscough.  We are also pleased to offer occasional seasonal services in residential care homes in the parish. The clergy and the team also go to those who may find themselves housebound or recovering from illness.
